Brown Sugar Glazed Ribs

Grilling In the Oven: Brown Sugar Glazed Ribs

Hi everybody. I know grilling isn't done in the oven , but we been having some weird weather lately. First it's hotter than a chili pepper, now it's raining cats and dogs. So I did these ribs in the oven.  This is a simple, super easy recipe.

Brown Sugar Glazed Ribs
The Ingredients:
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
A few shakes of vinegar (about 1 1/2 Tbsp.) I use red wine vinegar
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. Garlic-Herb Seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
2 Slabs of  Ribs

Mix together and rub onto ribs. Wrap rib slabs separately in heavy duty foil. Place in oven at 350 for about 1 hour 45 min to 2 hours. Rib should be tender when done.  Brush with your favorite sauce if desired. I LOVE Sweet Baby Ray 's Sweet and Spicy. Return to oven, and cook until sauce has set, about 10 minutes.

I told you they were super easy.  : )

BTW, what's the weather like in your area? I need a vacation. If you have great weather where you live, can I come over?  I won't take up too much room, I promise.  : )

Easy Pleasy Chicken Noodle Soup

Easy Pleasy Chicken Noodle Soup

Hi everybody, do you all have a go-to-easy soup recipe? I would like to share mine own with you today.     I love the recipe because it made with store-brought roastisire chicken and a few other simple ingredients    that come together in a snap.

Easy Pleasy Chicken Noodle Soup
The Ingredients
1  Roastisire chicken, Breast meat cut up into chunk
3 packages Ramen Noodles, creamy chicken preferred
1 cup half & half or 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1/2 cup baby carrots or sliced carrots
 2 -3 green onions sprigs
1/2 package Southern Mills Cheddar Cheese Sauce Mix
1 cup water

Saute your carrot slices in a little cooking oil or butter in a saucepan until tender. Add the chopped green onions, chicken breast meat, soup, and noodles, set the seasoning packages aside. Add just enough water to cover the noodles halfway in the pan.  Mix the seasoning packages, sauce mix, and 1 cup of water together. Add to the pan, stirring well. Cook over medium heat until sauce thicken and noodle are done, about 4 - 5 minutes.

A little southern hospitality, Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Brown Sugar Pound Cake, A little Southern Hospitality

Hi everybody  :)

As a down-home-southern girl, I felt it was my duty to have pound cake recipes on my blog. Every southern girl gotta have at least one bundt pan in her kitchen.

If you have noticed, my Pinterest board has over 600 pound cake recipes. So here's one of many I tried.

The recipe I used is Brown Sugar Pound Cake from Southern Living. I love the caramel sweetness of this cake. No icing was needed. The only change I did was add the nuts to the bottom of the bundt pan before pouring in the batter, so when I flip it, the nuts will be on top.

Every time I have a slice of pound cake, it brings back sweet memories of my mom. (She passed away 8 yrs ago due to breast cancer.) She never failed to always have a pound cake under her glass cake dome. Whenever company stopped by, they always left with several slices "for the road" they would say.

ENJOY!
